Fitting and everyday care
A campervan on a rainy week in Scotland leans hard on its leisure battery. Use identical batteries of the same age when connecting several in parallel. Storing a bank half empty in the cold costs capacity that never comes back.
Care tips for lead-carbon batteries
Lead-carbon batteries look like AGM from the outside. Lead-carbon tolerates long periods of partial charge. Use temperature compensation where possible.
Before you order: a quick checklist
- ✓ Consider extra loads such as a tow bar when comparing 180Ah.
- ✓ Starting current 900A: look for the EN value on your old label and choose this reference only if it is equal or higher.
- ✓ These are AUTOMOTIVE terminals. Photograph the old ones before ordering to compare side by side.
