Getting the best from the Fulbat FH-HU05
Allotment holders often start a small tractor once a week. Protect the terminals with a thin layer of grease against damp grass. Leaving a battery flat for months over winter often ruins it.
How niCd / NiMH batteries work and how to look after them
Each nickel cell gives about 1.2 volts, less than a lead cell. Nickel cells cope with extreme temperatures. Recycle NiCd cells properly, as cadmium is toxic.
Will the Fulbat FH-HU05 fit?
- ✓ Check that the alternator or controller suits niCd / NiMH.
- ✓ Check 215 × 67.6 × 22.7 mm against the tray, not just the old battery.
- ✓ Consider extra loads such as a tow bar when comparing 2.2Ah.
