Practical advice for traction and industrial equipment
A forklift working two shifts needs every amp-hour its battery can give. Clean the battery top regularly. Loose cables can melt terminals.
How lead-acid batteries work and how to look after them
Maintenance-free flooded batteries have sealed caps. Flooded deep-cycle batteries suit solar and golf buggies. Pour in only distilled water, and only once the charge has finished.
