Kronobat SD-45.1 in everyday use
A second car that only comes out at weekends tends to have a tired battery by the end of winter. Clean any white crust off the clamps with warm water and a little bicarbonate before fitting the new battery. A battery more than five winters old is living on borrowed time in most cars.

Questions buyers ask about the Kronobat SD-45.1
Is the Kronobat SD-45.1 a 12V battery?
Yes, if they are identical. Two 12V units of 45Ah in series give double the voltage; in parallel they give double the capacity at 12V.
How are the terminals arranged?
Polarity here: positive on the left-hand side. Look at the unit in your vehicle too, as reversed polarity often leaves the cables too short.
What kind of technology does the Kronobat SD-45.1 use?
Most smart chargers have a mode for lead-acid. Select it before charging; an unsuitable programme can shorten battery life.

Will the Kronobat SD-45.1 fit?
- ✓ A case of 207 × 175 × 190 mm must sit flat with the clamp closed.
- ✓ Same box, opposite posts? Many sizes exist in both layouts. This one is positive on the left-hand side.
- ✓ The capacity rating, 45Ah, should suit the consumers you run. Lots of electrical equipment calls for the higher end.
