Installation and maintenance tips

A remote pumping station depends on backup power during outages. Wear gloves when handling old batteries. Exit lights that fail their duration test often need new batteries.

The AGM technology explained

Compression inside the case is part of what makes glass-mat batteries so sturdy. Glass-mat batteries shrug off vibration, which is why bikes and boats use them so often. Keep AGM terminals clean and tight.

Make sure it fits your vehicle or equipment

  • ✓ Do not go far below your old battery's capacity; this one has 12Ah.
  • ✓ Chemistry: AGM. Some vehicles and chargers are programmed for a specific type, so check before swapping.
  • ✓ Tape measure time: 151 × 98 × 98 mm is the footprint and height of this case. Leave a little clearance for the clamp and the cable lugs.
