Practical advice for mobility scooters and wheelchairs

A chair kept in a cold garage over winter often loses range. Check tyre pressures before blaming the batteries for poor range. Soft tyres can make healthy batteries seem tired.

The AGM technology explained

Gas produced during charging recombines inside an AGM battery, so it loses almost no water. Premium cars with lots of electronics usually come with AGM from new. If the original was AGM, the replacement should be AGM too.
