Fitting and everyday care
A scooter parked in a cold porch overnight starts the day with less range. Check the battery box for loose connectors every few months. Soft tyres can make healthy batteries seem tired.

Check before ordering
- ✓ Outside dimensions are 181 × 76 × 167 mm. Run a tape measure over your tray or compartment, including the height under the bonnet or lid.
- ✓ The capacity rating, 20Ah, should suit the consumers you run. Lots of electrical equipment calls for the higher end.
- ✓ As a AGM battery it needs matching charge settings in the alternator, charger or solar regulator.

AGM: how it works
Valve-regulated construction keeps an AGM case closed during normal life. Backup systems rely on AGM because it can wait, fully charged, for years without fuss. Replace an AGM battery whose case has bulged.
