Fitting and everyday care
Hilly routes and soft tyres drain mobility batteries faster than flat pavements. Replace both batteries together with an identical pair. Range that drops sharply over a few weeks usually points to worn batteries.
AGM: how it works
Compression inside the case is part of what makes glass-mat batteries so sturdy. Many modern cars with brake energy recovery were designed around AGM from the start. Charge an AGM battery in a cool, ventilated place.
Make sure it fits your vehicle or equipment
- ✓ 40Ah sets how long the battery can power things with the engine off.
- ✓ Sticking with AGM avoids surprises, unless your vehicle maker approves a change.
- ✓ Outside dimensions are 197.7 × 166 × 171 mm. Run a tape measure over your tray or compartment, including the height under the bonnet or lid.
