At a glance: One code, one battery: Long WP40-12NE, 40Ah 12V, for mobility scooters and wheelchairs. Weight is 13.04 kg, worth knowing before you lift it out of the tray.
Carers often look up the Long WP40-12NE after noticing the chair runs out of charge earlier than before. Weighing 13.04 kg, it is worth lifting with care and using the handle where there is one. Ordering online saves carrying heavy batteries home from a shop.
Nothing unusual about 40Ah: a standard capacity for mobility scooters and wheelchairs.
Mobility shops often see chairs whose batteries were left flat for weeks. Plug in at the end of each day out, whatever the gauge says. Replacing only one battery of a pair is a common mistake, and the newer one soon suffers too.
Nothing sloshes around in a glass-mat battery, because every drop of acid is held in the separators. Wheelchairs and scooters often use AGM for clean, sealed power. A full charge now and then helps an AGM battery that mostly works part-charged.
Yes: it is part of WP Series. Other members of that family use the same technology.
Read the part number on your existing battery and look up the original fitment in the manual. If either points to WP40-12NE, or the figures agree, it will work.
Only a few minutes once you have checked the figures and the code.
Usually on the top label or the front of the case, near the logo. Search for brand plus that code.
