Installation and maintenance tips

A campervan on a rainy week in Scotland leans hard on its leisure battery. Check the charge splitter or relay after fitting new batteries. Draining a lead bank flat every night shortens its life drastically.

AGM: how it works

Oxygen formed at one plate travels through the mat and recombines at the other. Leisure vehicles choose AGM when the battery lives under a seat. Check the charging voltage limit printed on an AGM label.

Quick compatibility checklist

• ✓ The technology is AGM. Keep the same type as the original, and confirm your charger offers a matching profile.
• ✓ Grab a tape measure: 307 × 169 × 215 mm is what this case needs.
• ✓ Amp-hours: 79Ah. More capacity means more reserve for accessories and slower discharge when parked.
