Fitting and everyday care

Users who live on hills notice battery wear sooner. Keep the charger lead tidy to avoid trips. Charging with an unsuitable charger leaves batteries undercharged.

How AGM batteries work and how to look after them

Each AGM cell is packed so tightly that the plates barely move, even on a bumpy road. AGM suits mobility scooters and wheelchairs where a maintenance-free battery makes life easier. A battery tester gives a clearer picture of AGM health than a voltmeter.

Make sure it fits your vehicle or equipment

• ✓ With F1 / F2 terminals, some installations need a different clamp or adapter. Check before fitting.
• ✓ A different chemistry from AGM may need system changes.
• ✓ Size check: 151 × 65 × 102 mm. A battery even slightly taller than the original can touch the bonnet or the seat base.
