Getting the best from the Fulbat FT14B-4 GEL
A jet ski on a trailer spends months in the garage. Lay a rag over the frame to avoid scratches while lifting the battery out. Storing a bike for winter without a maintainer often ends with a new battery.
The gel technology explained
A gel battery stays sealed for its whole life. Hours-long gentle drains, such as lighting or pumps, suit gel well. Charge a gel battery only on a gel programme.
Five checks for a perfect fit
- ✓ Size check: 150 × 69 × 145 mm. A battery even slightly taller than the original can touch the bonnet or the seat base.
- ✓ Plus post: positive on the left-hand side. Check yours before ordering.
- ✓ Amp-hours: 12.6Ah. More capacity means more reserve for accessories and slower discharge when parked.
