Installation and maintenance tips
Mobility shops often see chairs whose batteries were left flat for weeks. Charge indoors at normal room temperature, away from frost and sunny windows. Soft tyres can make healthy batteries seem tired.
About the technology: AGM
Many glass-mat designs tolerate sideways mounting, as long as the maker says so. AGM suits mobility scooters and wheelchairs where a maintenance-free battery makes life easier. A full charge now and then helps an AGM battery that mostly works part-charged.
Quick compatibility checklist
- ✓ Sticking with AGM avoids surprises, unless your vehicle maker approves a change.
- ✓ Outside dimensions are 276.9 × 166.6 × 210.1 mm. Run a tape measure over your tray or compartment, including the height under the bonnet or lid.
- ✓ Capacity 79Ah: equal to or a little above your old label is ideal.
