Trojan 24-GEL in everyday use
Battery rooms that bake in summer and freeze in winter age solar batteries fast. Add temperature compensation if the batteries live in a room that swings from hot to cold. Ignoring ventilation around flooded batteries is a safety risk as well as an ageing factor.
About the Trojan 24-GEL
Made for solar power systems, the Trojan 24-GEL fills during the day and gives the energy back at night. Technology gel needs matching controller settings. Comparing capacity per battery on screen makes the maths easier.
At 77Ah, it is one of the compact options for solar power systems.
Questions buyers ask about the Trojan 24-GEL
Which voltage does the Trojan 24-GEL run at?
It is rated 12V and 77Ah. Check your equipment's voltage first: a mismatch can damage electronics or simply not work.
Is gel the same as the battery I have now?
It is built with gel technology. Pick charging equipment with a matching mode and avoid storing it discharged.
Is the Trojan 24-GEL part of a wider range?
Yes: it is part of TROJAN GEL. Other members of that family use the same technology.
Will the Trojan 24-GEL fit?
- ✓ Rated 77Ah: check that the charger or alternator in your system can refill a battery of that capacity in reasonable time.
- ✓ Technology to match: gel. Moving to a different chemistry may need settings changed in your system.
- ✓ Will it fit? The Trojan 24-GEL measures 276 × 171 × 236 mm, so compare length first, then width, then height with the lid or bonnet closed.
