Fitting and everyday care
Holiday homes off the grid often sit unused for months between visits. Leave space between batteries so air can move around them. Leaving the controller on the wrong chemistry setting shortens battery life quietly.
Same size and layout
If you prefer another make, these fit the same space with the same terminal side.

Answers before you buy
Where is the code on my battery printed?
Use a tape measure and the handbook: the factory fitment listed there tells you which code to search.
How much weight should I expect to lift?
The weight is 31 kg. Heavier batteries generally contain more lead and active material.
Does a battery lose charge on the shelf?
It is a good idea. All batteries lose some charge on the shelf, so a top-up before fitting helps.
Dimensions and weight of this model?
Measurements are 262 × 179 × 273 mm, and it weighs 31 kg. Check the height under the bonnet or seat as well.
Will the Trojan SAGM 06 220 fit?
- ✓ Dimensions to compare: 262 × 179 × 273 mm. Do not forget the base ledge, which the hold-down clamp grips on many vehicles.
- ✓ Do not go far below your old battery's capacity; this one has 220Ah.
- ✓ Set your charger to AGM before the first charge.

The AGM technology explained
Valve-regulated construction keeps an AGM case closed during normal life. Motorcycles benefit from glass-mat batteries because they tolerate lean angles and vibration. A full charge now and then helps an AGM battery that mostly works part-charged.
