Installation and maintenance tips

Adventure bikes loaded with heated grips and sat-nav ask more of the battery. Charge a new battery fully before the first ride if it has been stored. Storing a bike for winter without a maintainer often ends with a new battery.

Why choose the Varta YB14-A2

Plenty of motorcycles and quads leave the dealer with a Varta YB14-A2 under the seat. A cranking rating of 190A gives a cold engine a decent spin. Searching batteries online by exact code beats squinting at photos of near-identical boxes.

A capacity of 14Ah matches what many vehicles and machines in this group expect.

Care tips for lead-acid batteries

Wet lead batteries started engines long before the first motorway was built. Fleet vehicles often use flooded batteries for value. Top up only with distilled water, after charging, never above the mark.
