Fitting and everyday care
Holiday trips with a folding scooter mean charging in unfamiliar places. Use the charger supplied with the chair or one set for the AGM chemistry. Charging with the wrong programme can leave batteries undercharged night after night.
About the technology: AGM
Many glass-mat designs tolerate sideways mounting, as long as the maker says so. Leisure vehicles choose AGM when the battery lives under a seat. Store AGM batteries charged and disconnected.
Five checks for a perfect fit
- ✓ Consider extra loads such as a tow bar when comparing 36Ah.
- ✓ Set your charger to AGM before the first charge.
- ✓ Will it fit? The Long U1-36HE measures 197 × 131 × 180 mm, so compare length first, then width, then height with the lid or bonnet closed.
