Using it day to day: practical tips
Emergency lights in a stairwell have to last their full test duration every time. Photograph the terminal type and connector positions before removing the old blocks. Exit lights that fail their duration test often need new batteries.
The AGM technology explained
Compression inside the case is part of what makes glass-mat batteries so sturdy. Ambulances and police cars use AGM for their heavy electrical loads. Charge an AGM battery in a cool, ventilated place.
Make sure it fits your vehicle or equipment
- ✓ Amp-hours: 6Ah. More capacity means more reserve for accessories and slower discharge when parked.
- ✓ Built with AGM technology: if your vehicle or system was set up for another chemistry, check the charging settings first.
- ✓ Tape measure time: 151 × 51 × 101 mm is the footprint and height of this case. Leave a little clearance for the clamp and the cable lugs.
Your questions answered
Can a battery be stored before use?
