Installation and maintenance tips
Classic bikes with kick-start still rely on the battery for lights and ignition. Tension the strap properly so the battery cannot move on rough roads. Leaving a bike unused for months without a maintainer often kills a small battery.

AGM: how it works
Nothing sloshes around in a glass-mat battery, because every drop of acid is held in the separators. Cars with automatic engine stop love AGM, since it copes with constant partial discharge. Old-fashioned chargers without automatic cut-off are a poor match for glass-mat batteries.

Before you order: a quick checklist
- ✓ Note which corner the plus post occupies on your old unit. Here it is positive on the left-hand side, and crossed cables rarely reach.
- ✓ Rated 18Ah: check that the charger or alternator in your system can refill a battery of that capacity in reasonable time.
- ✓ For winter starts, 310A should at least match the old battery.
