Motobatt MB5U in everyday use

Couriers on scooters start and stop all day long. Make sure the battery pad or foam goes back in place. Topping up a sealed battery is a mistake: the caps are fitted for good.

What AGM means for you

Glass-mat batteries are sealed, with small valves that only open if pressure builds up. Leisure vehicles choose AGM when the battery lives under a seat. Old-fashioned chargers without automatic cut-off are a poor match for glass-mat batteries.

Quick compatibility checklist

• ✓ Rated 7Ah: check that the charger or alternator in your system can refill a battery of that capacity in reasonable time.
• ✓ Starting power: 90A to the EN standard. Match or beat the figure on your current label.
• ✓ This reference uses AGM. If your current battery has a different technology printed on it, find out why before switching.
