Trojan OverDrive AGM 31 in everyday use
Summer heat in a tin shed shortens battery life. Recharge fully with a generator after a long dull spell. Topping up an ageing bank with one fresh battery is a frequent error.
How AGM batteries work and how to look after them
Picture a sponge holding the acid: that is roughly how an AGM cell works. Ambulances and police cars use AGM for their heavy electrical loads. Keep AGM terminals clean and tight.
Five checks for a perfect fit
- ✓ Technology to match: AGM. Moving to a different chemistry may need settings changed in your system.
- ✓ Grab a tape measure: 341 × 173 × 234 mm is what this case needs.
- ✓ Capacity 102Ah: equal to or a little above your old label is ideal.
