How AGM batteries work and how to look after them

Glass-fibre separators in an AGM battery act like blotting paper for the acid. Glass-mat batteries shrug off vibration, which is why bikes and boats use them so often. Never try to open an AGM battery to add water.

Common questions about the Long WP18-12I

Is the Long WP18-12I suitable for a 12V system?

Yes, if they are identical. Two 12V units of 18Ah in series give double the voltage; in parallel they give double the capacity at 12V.

Can I use my usual charger with this battery?

It is built with AGM technology. Pick charging equipment with a matching mode and avoid storing it discharged.

What family does this battery come from?

This reference sits within WP Series. Browse the brand page to see the neighbouring sizes of the same range.

Will the Long WP18-12I replace my old battery?

The safest test is a direct comparison: same voltage, same or slightly higher capacity, same case size and the same terminal orientation. Your owner's manual usually lists the original values.

Is the Long WP18-12I right for you?

Daily trips to the shops or the park often depend on the Long WP18-12I. Terminal type matters as much as size in a mobility vehicle. The Long WP18-12I page at baterias.online gathers what you need to confirm the fit.

A modest 18Ah keeps size and weight down for tight spaces.
