Fitting and everyday care
A storm knocks out the power and the UPS takes over in a heartbeat. Recycle old batteries through an authorised scheme. A spade a few millimetres too wide simply will not slide on.
The AGM technology explained
Each AGM cell is packed so tightly that the plates barely move, even on a bumpy road. Cars with automatic engine stop love AGM, since it copes with constant partial discharge. Old-fashioned chargers without automatic cut-off are a poor match for glass-mat batteries.
Check before ordering
- ✓ Built with AGM technology: if your vehicle or system was set up for another chemistry, check the charging settings first.
- ✓ Tape measure time: 143 × 23 × 64 mm is the footprint and height of this case. Leave a little clearance for the clamp and the cable lugs.
- ✓ Stored energy reserve: 2Ah. Going much lower than your current battery can leave you short on cold mornings or long stops.
