Getting the best from the Long WPL7.2-12
Server rooms that run warm age standby batteries quickly. Check whether the UPS allows hot-swapping before pulling batteries out. Mixing old and new batteries in one UPS cuts runtime and harms the new blocks.
The AGM technology explained
Oxygen formed at one plate travels through the mat and recombines at the other. Wheelchairs and scooters often use AGM for clean, sealed power. Replace an AGM battery whose case has bulged.
Five checks for a perfect fit
- ✓ Stored energy reserve: 7.2Ah. Going much lower than your current battery can leave you short on cold mornings or long stops.
- ✓ The technology is AGM. Keep the same type as the original, and confirm your charger offers a matching profile.
- ✓ Outside dimensions are 151 × 65 × 102 mm. Run a tape measure over your tray or compartment, including the height under the bonnet or lid.
