Fitting and everyday care
Gate motors and access systems rely on backup batteries when the mains drops. Check whether the UPS allows hot-swapping before pulling batteries out. Batteries left in service too long often fail without warning.
About the technology: AGM
AGM stands for absorbent glass mat, a fancy name for a very tidy way of storing acid. Ambulances and police cars use AGM for their heavy electrical loads. Never try to open an AGM battery to add water.
Will the Long WPL12-12 fit?
- ✓ Tape measure time: 151 × 98 × 98 mm is the footprint and height of this case. Leave a little clearance for the clamp and the cable lugs.
- ✓ With 12Ah of capacity, hold it up to the figure on the outgoing unit or in your equipment manual.
- ✓ A different chemistry from AGM may need system changes.
