Frequently asked questions
Will I need help carrying this battery?
At 14.6 kg, one person can usually manage with care; bigger batteries are easier with two.
Can a battery be stored before use?
Yes, gradually. Lead batteries lose a little charge each month, lithium much less. A quick charge before use is a good idea.
How large and heavy is this battery?
At 199 × 166 × 171 mm, measure the tray or compartment carefully. Plan the lift too: 14.6 kg is heavier than it looks.
What voltage and amp-hours does this model have?
Nominal voltage is 12V and capacity 45Ah. Wiring two in series doubles the voltage, while parallel wiring doubles the capacity.
Care tips for AGM batteries
Compression inside the case is part of what makes glass-mat batteries so sturdy. Premium cars with lots of electronics usually come with AGM from new. Charge an AGM battery on a programme made for AGM, not a generic setting.

Using it day to day: practical tips
A storm knocks out the power and the UPS takes over in a heartbeat. Keep spare batteries charged if they are stored for a while. Plan on renewing standby blocks on a regular cycle rather than waiting for trouble.
