Technical figures at a glance

Fitting and everyday care

A power cut at the office is when everyone finds out whether the UPS batteries were up to the job. Disconnect the load before working on a UPS without hot-swap. Forgetting to note installation dates leads to batteries left in service far too long.

The AGM technology explained

Oxygen formed at one plate travels through the mat and recombines at the other. Backup systems rely on AGM because it can wait, fully charged, for years without fuss. Store AGM batteries charged and disconnected.

Five checks for a perfect fit

• ✓ Amp-hours: 26Ah. More capacity means more reserve for accessories and slower discharge when parked.
• ✓ Chemistry: AGM. Some vehicles and chargers are programmed for a specific type, so check before swapping.
• ✓ Check 166 × 175 × 125 mm against the tray, not just the old battery.
